Last Club Walk
-3rd February 2019
Two great winter
walks from Hovingham led by Chris Snowdon and her daughter, Claire.
Walks started from the village hall where Chris and Claire had arranged
that we could use the facilities before the walk. Both walks were around
the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The
weather had the crispness of a coold winters day, clear blue skies and
just a touch of snow with frozen ground. This managed to keep the mud
levels to a minimum.
Both walks were
led well and were thoroughly enjoyed by members. Congratulations from
the club to Claire in particular for leading her first walk so
The day finished
with refreshments in a local cafe near the village hall, the Hovingham
Bakery and Rolling Pin Cafe.
Thanks again to Carol for providing
photographs from the days walk. they can be seen from the "Past Walks"
